History
Adopted with annex and final act of the international conference on safety of life at sea, 1974. Replaces T-XT6009 - International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea, 1960 (SOLAS). A few countries have not yet ratified the Convention and are still Parties to the 1960 Convention. Protocols: T-XT7865 - Protocol of 1978 Relating to the International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea, 1974; T-XT8842 - Protocol of 1988 Relating to the International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS PROT 1988).
