The UIA is a leading provider of information about international non-profit organizations. The aim of the Open Yearbook is to promote the activities of international non-governmental organizations (INGOs) and intergovernmental organizations (IGOs).

1989, Brussels (Belgium), within the framework of H-XE8637 - Youth Forum of the European Union (YFEU). Ceased to exist.
Aims
Act as consultant to the European Community on all questions of concern to students and students' organizations; influence the policy of the European Community on higher education and student-related issues; increase participation of youth and student organizations in the policy making of EC; promote development of mutual understanding and strive for equal rights for all citizens in EC; foster democracy and real participation within the European Community.

Student Forum (meets twice a year), consisting of 2 representatives of each EC member state, one representative of European countries participating in an exchange programme with EC, and 10 members appointed by YFEC Executive Committee (5 representatives of National Youth Councils and 5 representatives of international youth NGOs). YFEC Secretariat acts as secretariat of SF.
