Founded by B-XB2743 - International Union of Nutritional Sciences (IUNS) and F-XF2488 - United Nations University (UNU). Ceased to exist.
Aims
Compile and interpret research data on consequences of deficiencies, changes or excesses in dietary energy intake; identify related research priorities and needs; publish policy statements and other information on the significance of chronic deficiencies and excesses of dietary energy; identify practical means of corrective action; promote corrective action among target groups.

Responsibility for the administration of IDECG delegated to Executive Secretary. Steering Committee guided by Advisory Group, consisting of 9 scientists.
