Union of International Associations releases 66th International Meetings Statistics ReportThe Report provides a global view of international association meetings.
The Union of International Associations (UIA) is excited to announce a new, customizable service designed to meet the unique needs and interests of professionals, institutions, and organizations around the world. With this paying service, users can name any city or country, and UIA will provide a comprehensive report on international association activity specific to that location.
The meetings organized by international associations are many and varied, from world-wide congresses to regional assemblies. The situation is gradually becoming clearer after the impact of the pandemic and the cancellations forced on the sector, but conditions have yet to return to the levels of 2019. The advent and spread of virtual and hybrid formats may make permanent changes to the way conferences are run.

The International Council of Traditional Sports and Games (ICTSG) celebrated TSGDAY 2025 on 14th August with global participation, cultural showcases, and the unanimous adoption of a historic Global Declaration. The event highlighted women’s empowerment, innovation through XR technology, and a strong commitment to preserving heritage games, supported by ICTSG’s verified digital communication system.
After nearly two years, I'm thrilled to announce the return of the Tsunami Society International, complete with a new website and logo. This update has been a long time coming, and we're incredibly grateful to continue the legacy of our founder, Dr. George Pararas-Carayannis. He was a scientist renowned for his humility and lifelong dedication to his work.
On 5 January, Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (TCEB) led by President Chiruit Isarangkun Na Ayuthaya, Senior Vice President Puripan Bunnag, and Conventions Director Nooch Homrossukhon, in partnership with Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) led by Deputy Governor for Marketing Communications Nithee Seeprae, jointly welcomed Interferry executives, CEO Mike Corrigan and Conferences and Administration Director Shari Corrigan, to a meeting at TCEB Head Office in Bangkok.
Recently (on 9 August), at the World Congress on Pain 2024 closing at RAI Amsterdam Convention Centre, Netherlands, Prof. Andrew Rice, President of the International Association for the Study of Pain made an official announcement that Bangkok, Thailand is the next host destination of World Congress on Pain 2026 which is scheduled to take place between 27-31 October 2026.
On 30 October, TCEB, led by Senior Vice President Mr. Puripan Bunnag, attended the opening ceremony of the 10th IEEE International Smart Cities Conference (IEEE ISC2 2024) at the Royal Cliff Grand Hotel in Pattaya, Chonburi. This conference was secured for Thailand by IEEE Power & Energy Society – Thailand with assistance from TCEB. It marked the first time the IEEE Smart Cities Conference was held in Thailand and the ASEAN region.
