Founded

2005 Ethiopia

History

In 2005, Maternity Foundation was established as a smaller organization in western Ethiopia. Today, we are an international NGO, operating from Ethiopia, India and Denmark and have partner engagements in 15 countries across Sub-Saharan Africa and South-East Asia.

Our global SafeDelivery+ programme is a digital, modular learning and training universe that includes the Safe Delivery App and online learning combined with trainings.

Since 2010, HRH Crown Princess Mary of Denmark has been a patron of Maternity Foundation.

Aims

Work to ensure safer births for women and their newborns; build midwifery knowledge and skills among healthcare workers in poor and fragile areas; provide life-saving digital health solutions and innovative learning programmes to empower midwives and healthcare workers.
