Eastern Africa Standby Force (EASF)
Set up following decision of Summit of D-XD8572 - African Union (AU), Jul 2004, Addis Ababa (Ethiopia), to create Eastern Africa Standby Brigade (EASBRIG). Memorandum of Understanding signed Apr 2005 expressly establishes EASF as constituent organization of African Standby Force (ASF); MOU amended Jan 2011.
Contribute to regional and continental peace, security, stability and enhance regional integration.
