The UIA is a leading provider of information about international non-profit organizations. The aim of the Open Yearbook is to promote the activities of international non-governmental organizations (INGOs) and intergovernmental organizations (IGOs).

History

19 July 1993, when registered in accordance with Belgian law. Bureau officially opened Jan 1994.

Aims

Promote cooperation between the Russian Federation and other countries in the fields of: science and technology; exchange of innovative ideas for economic development and for training individuals so they can face the challenge of modern industry and commerce and learn market economy techniques. Publicize the current economic and technological situation in Russia and other CIS Republics and the developments arising in these areas so as to promote harmonious commercial and industrial exchanges. Encourage the planning, creation and functioning of international commercial and training centres.

Main areas: aviation and space; energy; industrial development; environment; infrastructure: transport information, technology, telecommunications; computing, telecommunication; infrastructure, public works; regional development; natural resources; military/civil conversion. Services offered: Identification of possible partners for technological cooperation, investment and joint ventures; Investigation for technological and industrial development; Advice on strategic planning, marketing and analysis of start-up conditions; Consultation of projects with international participation, presentation of cooperation projects in governmental levels; Consulting to governmental and non governmental structures, national and international institutions; Organization of conferences, presentations, informal meetings; Training courses for top level managers; Public relations, including advertising in foreign and Russian mass media.
