Jul 1992. Déclaration conjointe relative à l'institution d'un sanctuaire méditerranéen pour les mammifères marins signed by Ministers of the Environment/Secretaries of State of France, Italy and Monaco, Mar 1993.
Aims
Set up a maritime reserve in order to protect marine fauna in the Western Mediterranean which is threatened by pollution and intensive fishing; in particular, protect dolphins, turtles and whales from entanglement in fishing nets.
