History
Set up 1985, under the legal framework of the Northern Corridor Transit and Transport Agreement (NCTTA). Framework revised 2007. Original title: Transit Transport Coordination Authority of the Northern Corridor -- Autorité de coordination du transport de transit du Corridor Nord . Subsequently changed title to: Transit Transport Coordination Authority of the Northern Corridor (TTCA) -- Autorité de coordination du transport de transit du Corridor Nord (ACTT).
Aims
Promote harmonized transport policies and foster an efficient and cost-effective transit transport system within Member States on matters of transit and transport, customs control, documentation and procedures, as well as the development of infrastructure and facilities relating to sea ports, inland ports and waterways, roads, railways, pipelines and border posts.
