Set up 1910, Sofia (Bulgaria), as All Slavic Beekeeping Union. Activities suspended at World War I. Revived 1990, with activities fully resumed, 1991, when new statutes and title of Federation of Slavic and Danube Regional Beekeeping Organizations were adopted. Present title adopted 1996, Moscow (Russia).
Contribute to improvement and control of bee products; coordinate activities in bee diseases control; coordinate advertising and sales of bee products; coordinate activities in the field of apitherapy; improve and develop selection and breeding activities; promote better direct contacts and exchange of experience between beekeepers.
