History

1 Apr 1982, Banjul (Gambia), on official registration in the Gambia, following initiative of Gambian students, July 1981. Also referred to as PAIS, PAIS/ACD and Pan-African Development Organization (PADO).

Aims

Ameliorate living standards of the African population, giving primary emphasis to rural development, reducing urban-rural disparities and slowing the rural-urban drift; facilitate national and international development through execution and implementation of projects related to agricultural development, basic health care, creation of youth hostels and orphanages and complementing primary schools.
