The UIA is a leading provider of information about international non-profit organizations. The aim of the Open Yearbook is to promote the activities of international non-governmental organizations (INGOs) and intergovernmental organizations (IGOs).


6 Dec 1988, Brussels (Belgium), under the auspices of: Centre of Promotion of Catholic Education in Europe (CEPECE); European Showmen's Union (ESU); European Skippers Organisation (OEB); International Group of Priests for Circus and Showmen of All Confessions; and 4 national organizations, following recommendations, Jan 1982, Düsseldorf (Germany FR), of a symposium at ESU congress. Resolution of Council and Ministers of Education, 22 May 1992. Registered in accordance with Belgian law. Ceased to exist Dec 2004.
