19 Feb 1992, Niamey (Niger), when statutes were adopted, at 2nd Congress of Société de cardiologie de l'Afrique de l'Ouest (SCAO), replacing that body which was dissolved. Also referred to in French as Société de cardiologie d'Afrique noire francophone (SCANF). No recent activity reported since 1995.
Bring together cardiologists and cardiovascular surgeons exercising their profession in or deriving from a francophone African country; promote contacts and exchange of experience among them and with their equivalents in other French-speaking countries; develop education and research in cardiovascular health in wholly or partially French-speaking black African countries.Available with paid subscription only.
