History

Founded 1986. Commenced simultaneously with Preservation of the Amazonian River Dolphin (ISPTR/PARD), also referred to as PARD. Registered in accordance with Peruvian law, 1990. Registered in accordance with US law.

Aims

Promote, through education, sustainable positive alternatives to the native people in the tropical rainforests of South America; purchase, preserve and protect land in pristine tropical rainforest to conserve for future generations to come; continue to patrol the rivers with the Environmental Forest Police to stop illegal commercial fishing, logging and animal poaching; continue to distribute free medicines.
