Aims
Strengthen Arab parliamentary cooperation as an essential foundation for Arab solidarity; represent the Arab popular will through representatives of Arab parliaments to voice the ambitions and causes of the Arab citizen; coordinate and cooperate with the Arab parliaments in the face of dangers and challenges that threaten Arab national security in various spheres; communicate with the representatives of the executive branch of the Arab countries through the President of the Union and the Speakers of Arab Parliaments to implement the decisions of the Union concerning support for Arab solidarity; advance cooperation, coordination, and agreement on issues, topics, problems and dangers faced by the Arab world in various regional and international parliamentary forums, and at international organizations in which the Union participates as an observer; support the rights of Arab youth, women, and children by strengthening the legislative and regulatory roles of Arab parliaments to highlight thereof in inter-parliamentary and intergovernmental forums regionally and internationally; strengthen communication and cooperation with civil society organizations and all other Arab institutions to achieve the purposes of this Charter; promote dialogue and hold joint parliamentary events to coordinate Arab efforts in various areas of Arab solidarity and cooperation; deepen the culture of human rights and promote the concepts of representative democracy.
