History
Aug 1968, following a joint meeting of Federation of the Pharmaceutical Industry Associations in the EEC (GIIP) and Pharmaceutical Industries' Association in the EFTA (PIA), with Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association (PMA) of the United States and Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association of Canada (PMAC), June 1968, Stockholm (Sweden). Previously also referred to in French and Spanish as Fédération internationale de l'industrie du médicament (FIIM) -- Federación Internacional de la Industria del Medicamento (FIIM).
