1980, as World Association for Infant Psychiatry (WAIP). Listed title adopted 1984. Ceased to exist, 1992, when merged with H-XH0174 - International Association for Infant Mental Health to form B-XC0093 - World Association for Infant Mental Health (WAIMH).
Aims
Promote education and research in the field of infant mental health; encourage world-wide study of conditions affecting mental health of infants, their parents and other care-givers; encourage research on effect of mental development in infancy on later normal and pathological development; sponsor sharing of information, problems and theories regarding mental health of infants and their families.
