The UIA is a leading provider of information about international non-profit organizations. The aim of the Open Yearbook is to promote the activities of international non-governmental organizations (INGOs) and intergovernmental organizations (IGOs).

History

Dec 1993, arising from WHO European Healthy Cities Network (WHO Healthy Cities) and in close collaborations with the 'Coalition for Healthier Cities and Communities (CHCC)' (USA).

Aims

Facilitate links among people, issues and resources in order to support the development of healthy cities initiatives, including health planning, promotion and prevention activities.

Developing infrastructure tools in 3 programme areas: communications; resources tools; training and advisory services; participates in conferences. Plans to set up International Institute on Collaborative Meeting Management.
