Series of conferences; not an organization. Secretariat functions performed by the Service de la Zone franc et du financement du développement of the Bank of France, acting for the now defunct but still theoretically existing Secretariat of E-XE1202 - Comité monétaire de la Zone franc. The F-XF4920 - Zone franc includes all countries and groups of countries whose currencies are linked with the euro at a fixed rate of exchange; and who agree to hold their reserves mainly in the form of euros on a specific account opened in the books of the French Treasury. Unit of currency, 'CFA franc', is used in member countries of F-XF3711 - Pays africains de la Zone franc (PAZF). These include those of F-XF3713 - Union économique et monétaire Ouest africaine (UEMOA) - F-XF0749 - Communauté financière africaine (CFA), and of F-XF3714 - Communauté économique et monétaire d'Afrique centrale (CEMAC) - Coopération financière en Afrique centrale.
