The UIA is a leading provider of information about international non-profit organizations. The aim of the Open Yearbook is to promote the activities of international non-governmental organizations (INGOs) and intergovernmental organizations (IGOs).


1965, as Common Market Liaison Committee of Consulting Engineers (CLIC). Subsequently became: European Committee of the Consulting Engineers of the Common Market -- Comité européen des ingénieurs-conseils du Marché commun -- Europäisches Komitee der Beratenden Ingenieure des Gemeinsamen Marktes. Present title adopted 1991. Registered by Belgian law. May 1992, merged together with European Committee of Consulting Firms (CEBI), to form European Federation of Engineering Consultancy Associations (EFCA).


Study technical and other rules affecting engineering consultancy in Europe, promote their harmonization and put information on them at the disposal of members; provide a means to articulate the voice of independent European engineering consultancy in technical and scientific fields, organizing contacts among national organizations or stimulate their creation and represent them with international organizations and authorities.
