History

28 Mar 1998, Treviso (Italy), with the active support of United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) - through UNESCO Office in Venice - UNESCO Regional Bureau for Science and Culture in Europe (BRESCE) - annual conferences having been held in Treviso (Italy) since 1995. Originally also referred to as International Centre for a New Water Civilization.

Aims

Collect, classify and process data of a scientific, historical and cultural nature as well as information concerning projects relating to civilizations whose existence has been based on a close relationship with water.
