Jan 1989, Bonn (Germany FR), as an informal grouping of national research funding agencies. Ceased to exist when merged with F-XM5334 - Belmont Forum, Oct 2014.
Aims
Exchange information on national global change research programmes, supporting programmes and facilities; facilitate international global change research in the natural, social and economic sciences by bringing the perspective of national funding agencies to strategic planning and implementation of such research; discuss approaches to integration and phasing of global change research in the light of available resources; promote coordination of access to and deployment of specialized research facilities; optimize allocation of national contributions to global change research.
