Aims

Promote interests and mutual cooperation of organizations that actively promote equal access and involvement of children, young people and adults through practical experience in a wide range of educational, environmental, recreational, social and economic activities focused around farming, empowering people to improve their own lives and environment in peaceful coexistence; promote the exchange of information, best practice and expertise of people engaged in the field; encourage organic management of land; promote education and training of members; promote transnational projects; promote and aid the organization of international conferences; commit to sustainable development principles and practices in all programmes and actions; promote a programme of European cooperation and integration.

Activities

Promotes work and image of city farms and raises the profile of EFCF, member federations and city farms; helps and facilitates member federations and city farms to deliver programmes, activities and research that benefit other federations and city farms; distributes information, in particular good practice, to member organisations; collaborates and networks with other like-minded organisations, particularly community-run land-based groups; helps further the aims and aspirations of member federations and their city farms; raises funding for operation of EFCF and participating member federations to deliver agreed programmes and action. Organizes youth exchange programmes; exchange of programmes; conferences; training courses; fund-raising for EFCF and for European cooperation programmes. Environmental Education Programme; fosters information exchange; publishing activity.
