1976, under the name International Foundation for the Conservation of Game -- Fondation internationale pour la sauvegarde du gibier -- Internationale Stiftung zur Erhaltung des Wildes, as two sister foundations in France and Switzerland having the same title. Present name adopted 1990.
Contribute throughout the world towards conservation of wildlife and of nature in all its forms and aspects; help to promote the rational and reasonable harvesting of national and international game populations in order to ensure their perennity and their development for the benefit of humanity.
