1995, Windsor (UK), as an alliance between the conservation movement and the world's major religions. ARC was a concept developed in the 1980s by HRH Prince Philip when he was International President of F-XF3608 - World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF). Originally existed as WWF Network on Conservation and Religion before being incorporated as a charity in 1995.
Encourage people, through their beliefs, to tread more gently upon the earth through a two-fold strategy: help faiths realize their potential to be proactive on environmental issues; help secular groups recognize this and become active partners.
