19 Dec 1997, by resolution 1145 (1997) of E-XE3376 - United Nations Security Council (UNSC), to continue the work of U-XF3995 - United Nations Transitional Administration for Eastern Slavonia, Baranja and Western Sirmium (UNTAES). One of the United Nations Peace-keeping Operations, within F-XF1000 - United Nations System, in the framework of A-XA3375 - United Nations (UN). Headquarters in Vukovar (Croatia). Duration 16 Jan 1998 to Sep 1998. Operation completed Oct 1998. On expiry of mandate, activities taken over by Mission to Croatia of F-XF0947 - Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE).
Aims
Continue monitoring the performance of Croatian police in the Danube region, particularly with respect to return of displaced persons.
