Founded at the Session of A-XA2590 - International Statistical Institute (ISI). Inaugural meeting during 51st ISI session, 1997, Istanbul (Turkey). A BIS-hosted committee and formally a Section of ISI. Secretariat provided by F-XF0184 - Bank for International Settlements (BIS).
Aims
Promote exchange of views amongst central bank economists, statisticians and policy makers as well as others who want to participate in discussing statistical issues of interest to central banks, including those relating to economic, monetary and financial stability; strengthen the relationship between compilers of statistics and the community of users and analysts of statistical information, both in and outside central banks.
