Aims
Assist member countries through a collaborative programme of information exchange, regional workshops, expert consultations and learning activities to enhance the skills and expertise of those responsible for the development and dissemination of soil and water conservation practices appropriate to the circumstances of small-scale farmers.

The activities and work programme for ASOCON are determined by Network Consultative Board (NCB) (meets once a year), which comprises National Coordinators (NCs) from each member country, and functions as both the steering committee and policy making body for the network. At the regional (inter-country) level the ASOCON Secretariat and Implementing Agency (operating on behalf of NCB) consists of Coordination Unit (CU), headed by Regional Coordinator (RC), with its offices located within the Directorate General of Reforestation and Land Rehabilitation, Ministry of Forestry (Jakarta). At the national level each member country has a National Coordinating Committee (NCC).
