Coordinate a full-scale programme for genetic improvement of neem, an evergreen, multi-purpose tree, grown in semi-arid regions as a source of medicinal and pest-management oil and chemicals; improve neem genetic quality and adaptability as a contribution to development of concerned countries, in particular meeting needs of rural people.Available with paid subscription only.
Programme outputs: international provenance trials and their assessment; provision of wider and improved quality of genetic base planting material to network collaborators; use of improved seed handling methods; supportive research initiated by Network collaborators; compilation of research results.
