The UIA is a leading provider of information about international non-profit organizations. The aim of the Open Yearbook is to promote the activities of international non-governmental organizations (INGOs) and intergovernmental organizations (IGOs).

History

Sep 1996, as European Thematic Network of Education and Training for Water (ETNET-WATER), within the framework of SOCRATES Programme. Subsequently also known under the acronym ETNET-ENVIRONMENT-WATER. Second phase started 2000, when current acronym adopted. Project closed in 2003, with a dissemination project running for the period 2003-2004.

Aims

Focus on the relation between learning processes, methods and tools and research and technological development (RTD) in the domain of environment/water, so as to enhance transfer of new knowledge and skills into higher education systems.

Specific Projects (SPs): European Engineering Graduate School of Environment Water (EGW); Teaching Resources; Distance Learning Opportunities; Virtual Laboratories; European Platform for Doctoral Students and Young Scientists; Quality Assessment, Dissemination and Sustainability.
