Sep 1996, as European Thematic Network of Education and Training for Water (ETNET-WATER), within the framework of U-XF3116 - SOCRATES Programme. Subsequently also known under the acronym ETNET-ENVIRONMENT-WATER. Second phase started 2000, when current acronym adopted. Project closed in 2003, with a dissemination project running for the period 2003-2004.
Focus on the relation between learning processes, methods and tools and research and technological development (RTD) in the domain of environment/water, so as to enhance transfer of new knowledge and skills into higher education systems.
