History

Founded 1974, as European Group of Television Advertising (EGTA) -- Groupement européen de la publicité télévisée, by sales houses and commercial departments of public TV channels. EU Transparency Register: 1977807375-62.

Aims

Exchange information on television/video and radio/audio advertising and results of media research nationally and internationally, particularly in Europe; represent and defend members' interests; help members optimize revenue whilst making a positive contribution to liaise with European institutions for development of a balanced and coherent approach to advertising in audiovisual media; serve as a reference center.
