Founded 1969, as Association de langue française des psychologues spécialisés pour handicapés de la vue.
Bring members together; help new colleagues; respond to professional questions regarding visual handicap; seek, adapt or create tools allowing an approach and an estimate of compensatory, representative, intellectual, behavioural, projective and personality strategies put in place by people with visual handicap; promote scientific research in the field; make known the contribution of psychology to techniques of functional adaptation, teaching, vocational training, ergonomics and simple and sophisticated assistance techniques; encourage clinical reflection and sharing of information and research between professionals in the field.
