The UIA is a leading provider of information about international non-profit organizations. The aim of the Open Yearbook is to promote the activities of international non-governmental organizations (INGOs) and intergovernmental organizations (IGOs).

History

by concerned Liberians living in Belgium. Originally referred to as African European Foundation for Development, Education and Reintegration (AEFDER). Registered in accordance with Belgian law, Mar 1998.

Aims

Bring concrete and positive changes to the living conditions of Africans, both in Africa and in Europe; offer an opportunity to work for transformation of their circumstances and their societies. Contribute to: reconstruction of identified African nations through development education, training and research; lasting peace and stability in specified African states; societies and institutions which respect and uphold human rights and civil liberties; setting up small and micro industries through skills training and income generation; food production; short-term emergency humanitarian services for individuals most at risk.

Activities

Manages African Aid Programme (AAP), which provides skills training and support in setting up small enterprises for real income generation. Women International Service Enterprises (WISE) training programme in Belgium offers training to low-skilled refugee women.
