Founded by Melvin Jones. Initial membership consisted of 25 clubs located in the USA. In subsequent years, clubs were established in Canada (1920), Mexico (1925) and China (1926). Currently there are more than 46,000 clubs and 1.35 million members in over 200 countries and geographic areas. Statutes amended: 4 Jul 1988; 2 Jul 1988.
