Founded 1945, France. Became, 1952, Paris (France), European Association of Women Executives – Association européenne des femmes chefs d'entreprise. Fully international since 1956. Has been known under the English title World Association of Women Business Owners, the French title Association mondiale des femmes chefs d'entreprises and (unofficially) the Spanish titles Asociación Mundial del Ejecutivas de Empresa and Asociación Mundial de Mujeres Empresarias. Previously also known under the English acronym WAWE. Statutes adopted 5 Jun 1965, Paris. Registered in accordance with French law.
Promote women's entrepreneurial initiative and reinforce national associations of women business owners.
