following an agreement of F-XF0230 - Central American Bank for Economic Integration (CABEI) and the Central American countries of Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala (Guatemala), Honduras and Nicaragua with F-XF2147 - European Union (EU). Also referred to in English as Fund for the Strengthening of the Central American Exports. Ceased to exist.
Reinforce intra- and extra-regional export capacity of Central American countries by increasing investment in the export sector; increase the attraction of income generated through export of non-traditional products, particularly from industrial manufacturing and agricultural sectors; award credit for circulating and fixed capital to economically feasible and financially healthy projects and exporting companies which contribute to expansion, updating and rehabilitating export capacity of Central American countries and to better adaptation of exports to conditions of regional and international competition; contribute to restructuring, reactivation and reinforcement of Central American economic integration.
