Aims

Participate in the creation of a real European teaching sector; defend the freedom of teaching; develop student and teacher mobility; create, recognize and validate qualifications at European level; create a European network of schools and universities making exchanges easier; improve teaching in countries outside the EU and EFTA.

International Commissions (2): 'International Commission of Research and Development (CIRED)'; 'International Commission of the Organization and Management of Examinations (CIOGE)'. Organizes and sponsors: congresses; exhibitions. Devises examination programmes. Promotes and encourages the introduction of innovative pedagogical actions and actions for the cross-border mobility of students and teachers, as well as cooperation, experimentation and partnership ventures. Maintains a library.
