Auckland Convention Bureau (ACB) was set up nearly 20 years ago to promote Auckland as a great city for conferences, conventions and other business events, and to support event planners in delivering a world-class experience for delegates.

Whether you are a small New Zealand-based business or a large multinational, ACB can help you plan every stage of your event, from accessing bid funding to sourcing accommodation and transport quotes. Their services are available to event planners for free, as part of their ongoing commitment to increase business events in the region.

ACB is a not-for-profit division of ATEED (Auckland Tourism, Events and Economic Development), Auckland’s economic growth agency, which is an Auckland Council-controlled organisation.

ACB can:

  • Give you free advice and quotes for venues, accommodation, activities and service providers to best suit your business events requirements
  • Organise bespoke visits so you can see for yourself what Auckland has to offer, and arrange site visits
  • Supply marketing materials such as brochures, imagery and DVDs to help drive delegate numbers
  • Produce professional bid documents detailing the business advantages of selecting Auckland as your event destination, including destination information and supporting letters
  • Give you online access to professional photographs for use in your conference marketing materials
  • Carry out a study into the financial feasibility of holding your event in Auckland
  • Complete your application for financial support from Tourism New Zealand’s Conference Assistance Programme
  • Link your conference website to AucklandNZ.com to let your delegates explore what’s on offer in Auckland
  • Provide an onsite information, activities and booking desk for delegates at your event
