Aims

Resolve matters connected with construction, operation and decommissioning of nuclear power stations.

Activities

Basic tasks: (1) development of balanced requirements and production capacities for equipment, instruments and materials for Nuclear Power Stations (NPSs); (2) drafting proposals for specialization and cooperation in production, as well as in expanding the production of equipment, instruments and materials for NPSs by the industries in the Contracting Parties' countries; (3) arranging cooperative production of equipment, instruments and materials for NPSs; (4) drafting proposals for joint planning in the production of specified types of equipment, instruments and materials for NPSs; (5) control over the transfer of design and engineering documentation to manufacturers of equipment, instruments and materials; (6) ensuring a reliable supply of equipment, instruments, materials and spare parts for NPSs by the industries in the Contracting Parties' countries and acting as the general contractor at the customer's request; (7) control over cooperative production and supply of spare parts for the NPS equipment; (8) control over cooperation in designing and providing designs for NPSs; (9) certain functions in the commissioning and adjusting NPSs under construction; (10) technical training and brush-up courses for NPS operators and for experts in NPS designing and in the manufacture of equipment and its assembly; (11) repair of certain types of equipment and instruments used at NPSs; (12) technical assistance in the construction of NPSs in the Contracting Parties' countries and in the third countries; (13) organization and carrying out international exhibitions, seminars, conferences and other activities for exchange of the experience in the field of nuclear power; (14) execution of works aimed at the reduction of dangerous effects on environment, modernization, development of systems, reconstruction and decommissioning of NPSs; (15) research works in the field of nuclear power; (16) scientific and research works as well as the works connected with development and implementation into production of new achievements in the field of nuclear power; (17) technical servicing of instruments, equipment, machines and tools to be used in the nuclear power field; (18) information and advertising activities, marketing; (19) consulting.
