History
27 Oct 2004, upon the initiative of the Hellenic Republic, on signing of "Agreement for the Establishment and Statute of the European Public Law Organization". Creation effective as of 10 Sep 2007, upon receipt by Depositary of notifications by 3 parties: Hellenic Republic; Republic of Italy; Republic of Cyprus. Initiatives for setting up EPLO proposed by E-XE3133 - European Group of Public Law (EGPL). Acts as continuation of U-XK1607 - European Public Law Centre (EPLC), which title it may continue to use, especially acting as a Greek institution.
Aims
Create and disseminate knowledge in the area of Public Law lato sensu and Governance, including but not limited to, inter alia, national, comparative and European public law, human rights law and environmental law and promotion of European values for a better generation of lawyers and democratic institutions worldwide.
