History
19 Jun 1979, Helsinki (Finland), on adoption of statutes by D-XD4238 - Nordic Council of Ministers (NCM) within the framework of the T-XT7163 - Nordic Cultural Cooperation. Statutes came into force 1 Aug 1980. Ceased activities Dec 1996.
Aims
Promote, primarily in Finland, the instruction in and knowledge of Nordic languages, as well as an understanding of the culture and social conditions of the other Nordic countries; provide other Nordic countries with information about Finland and the Finnish language, culture and social conditions.
