The UIA is a leading provider of information about international non-profit organizations. The aim of the Open Yearbook is to promote the activities of international non-governmental organizations (INGOs) and intergovernmental organizations (IGOs).

by International Parliament of Writers (IPW). 'Charter of Cities of Asylum' adopted, 31 May 1995, by Congress of Local and Regional Authorities of the Council of Europe.

Aims

Work against intolerance and for protection of menaced and persecuted writers.

Member cities pledge to: put residences at the disposal of persecuted writers; provide them with access to municipal public services (restaurants, transport, schools); assist in obtaining visas and residence permits; provide them with a grant.
