Promote the ideas that: monetary stability is indispensable to the European Union single market; a single currency is necessary for European business. Promote research, conferences and discussion in favour of the Economic and Monetary Union and the euro; act as a channel of discussion between the public and private sector about the way in which the transition to the third stage of EMU and the single currency should be handled.
