The UIA is a leading provider of information about international non-profit organizations. The aim of the Open Yearbook is to promote the activities of international non-governmental organizations (INGOs) and intergovernmental organizations (IGOs).

1991

History

1991. First congress 1992, Copenhagen (Denmark). Ceased to exist as an organization; NorAge conferences continue to be held.

Aims

Work for good mental and neurological health in the aged individual, including prevention, investigation, treatment and rehabilitation of mental and neurological diseases, chiefly those caused by organic brain damage; promote development of basic and clinical research and education in the brain's ageing and its diseases.

Structure

General Meeting (every year, at Congress). Board (meets annually), consisting of Chairman and Secretary of each Nordic national section plus 5-8 persons irrespective of country representing professions other than physicians. Officers: President, Secretary and Treasurer. Secretariat in Norway.
