Founded Jul 1980, as a jointly sponsored project of Office for Human Development (OHD) of D-XD5358 - Federation of Asian Bishops' Conferences (FABC) and the then Center for the Progress of Peoples (CPP), currently G-XG0013 - Asian Center for the Progress of Peoples (ACPP). Justice and Peace Coordinating Committee for Asia set up, 1984, to oversee the project. Since Jan 1992 ACPP official holder of project.
Respond to special cases of injustice which could be helped by international assistance; build a network for communication and solidarity among groups and individuals involved in justice and peace matters; create deeper awareness of justice and peace issues through advocacy; issue urgent appeals and background papers; conduct training for social justice advocacy education.
