as a project supported of Third World Movement Against the Exploitation of Women (TW MAE W). Also referred to as CAMP International. No recent activity reported since 1990.

Aims

Fight sexual abuse of women near military bases.

Activities

Tackles the following issues: sexual abuse and exploitation of women by military personnel for their 'rest and recreation' in sex trips set up near military bases or along the route of the Rapid Deployment Forces; violence against women and children, and prostitution as a violation of human rights; militarism as a patriarchal ideology and as a system that also victimizes the enlisted men; sexism, racism and classism; disarmament and development linked with the abolition of military base-related prostitution. Regional centres in: Africa (Mombasa, Kenya); Asia (Manila); Europe (Athens); Latin America/Caribbean (San José, Costa Rica); North America/North Atlantic (New York NY).
