1 Oct 1996, Brussels (Belgium), under initiative of E-XG5949 - First Aid Education European Network. From 1996 to 2002, operated by Belgian Red Cross - Flemish community; currently operated by the French Red Cross.
Aims
Favour sharing of knowledge and competencies on First Aid in Europe; collect analyse and make readily available information and knowledge on First Aid; assist national societies in their efforts to further develop training; participate in harmonization and improvement of First Aid with a focus on quality; facilitate exchanges between national societies and common initiatives; monitor evolution of domains linked to First Aid (medicine, pedagogy, road safety, civil protection, etc); ensure contacts with other networks and reference centres.
