Aims

Work with mass media, marketing and women's organizations against tobacco advertising; inform Latin American women about the relation between the use of tobacco and their increased mortality; emphasize the social role of women in family, school and community; collect data about women and tobacco in Latin America; stimulate research on prevalence of tobacco use among women and on attitudes and behaviour related to tobacco use; identify and stimulate female activist groups and different professional classes to join in combating tobacco.
