History
3 Jan 1990, Brussels (Belgium), as Confederation of European Firms, Employment Initiatives and Cooperatives for Psychically Disabled, at the initiative of associations in Germany, Italy and Netherlands. Subsequently changed title to Confederation of European Social Firms, Employment Initiatives and Social Cooperatives (CEFEC). Registered in accordance with Belgian law.
Aims
Initiate and stimulate firms, employment initiatives and cooperatives on behalf of rehabilitation and employment of people with mental health problems and other socially marginalized persons in countries of the European Union and other European states; give form and content to international cooperation in these fields.
