European grouping established on the initiative of D-XD0711 - Accountancy Europe (then known as FEE).
Aims
Identify common characteristics of accounting and auditing data flow between companies; carry out studies and make recommendations on the consequences of electronic business - EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) - in the field, particularly as it concerns the legal position, telecommunications, security and general requirements of internal control; promote utilization of e-business or EDI for all accountancy operations, using UN/EDIFACT standards as a means of managing data flow; promote appropriate auditing techniques in the EDI environment; verify whether already defined UNSMs or ebXML messages can satisfy identified functional requirements and propose to the UN/EDIFACT International Trade and Business Processes Group the creation of new messages or modification to existing messages; ensure effective communications with other groups in the sector and with national bodies.
